THE FOUNDER
A real farming problem started everything.
Hi, I’m John Cal Kelleher, a dairy farmer from mid-Cork in Ireland.
In 2019, we needed a GPS guidance system for spreading fertiliser, slurry, spraying and mowing on our own farm.
What I found was expensive, overly complicated and often designed with large-scale operations in mind rather than ordinary working farms.
So I went back to what I knew best: farming, milking cows twice a day and trying to solve a practical problem.

THE PROBLEM
Guidance systems did not need to be so complicated.
The goal was not to create a system that tried to do everything. It was to build one that did the important things well.

Too expensive
Many existing systems required a substantial investment that was difficult to justify for everyday farm jobs.

Too complicated
Complex menus and unnecessary features made simple field guidance harder than it needed to be.

Not farmer-focused
Many systems were not designed around the machines, fields and daily realities of smaller working farms.
A FEW THINGS I GOT WRONG
I thought it would be easier to build than buy.
I thought no one else would want one.
I thought I would have moved on by 2020.
I was wrong about all three.
Sometimes being wrong is exactly what leads you in the right direction.

What started as a system for one farm developed into a range of guidance systems for different jobs and machines.
